Volunteering

If you decide that paid work isn’t right for you, there are still lots of fantastic voluntary opportunities available! Volunteering can be a great way to build skills and confidence, and make a real difference to your community.

If you are in receipt of benefits, remember to speak to DWP before you start a voluntary job, as some of the same rules apply to both paid and unpaid work.

To find out about volunteering opportunities in your area, you can visit volunteering Wales, or contact your local council or voluntary services council.

Some organisations may also be able to offer time credits, which you can spend on activities/services. The Learning Disability Transformation Project is signed up to offer Tempo Time Credits for people who volunteer their time with us. You can find out more about Tempo Time credits here.

If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to help us do the work of the Learning Disability Transformation Project, please contact us.
