Self-advocacy is all about having your say about what’s important to you and the support you need and want to live your life. Not everyone uses their voice to communicate and most people can communicate better with the right support and lots of practice. This picture explains more about what self-advocacy includes:

Co-production

Co-production is a really important way that we put people at the centre of what we do, and make sure they have real voice and control. Co-production means staff and citizens working together in true partnership to design and deliver the support people need. Co-production is about involving people in the delivery of public services, helping to change their relationship with services from dependency to genuinely taking control.
