Self Advocacy

We funded a Regional Self-Advocacy Officer at Conwy Connect until March 2025.

This role supports the North Wales Flyers and helps promote self-advocacy across the region. The aim is to make sure more people with learning disabilities can speak up, share their views, and be part of decisions that affect their lives.

The officer helps people:

  • Understand what self-advocacy means
  • Feel confident to speak up
  • Raise concerns and know who to talk to

The goal is to give people more voice and control, support their involvement in shaping services, and help create positive change in society.
